An update on our project is long overdue, but I’m happy to announce that the mixes are complete and they were sent off to Zak at Woodshop Recording Studios for mastering.

For the last couple of decades, about 95% of my guitar playing has been in DADGAD tuning. Since Bardavissa formed, I’ve been using standard tuning a bit more often, so the ratio of DADGAD to standard material is more like a 75/25 split. Re-tuning a guitar in the middle of a set can be done but it is not optimal (…) so it was time to go searching for a new guitar.

We’ve been busy recording and the spring EP remains our top priority but we may take a bit of time to focus on upcoming performance spots. We’ll let you know more about those as we know more. But while this is all going on, I’ll post a few comments about recording here at OHN (my home studio).
